Is coronavirus live on clothing?

The coronavirus is mainly transmitted through respiratory droplets (from an infected person sneezing or coughing) rather than through fomites, objects, and other materials. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notes that coronavirus may remain viable for hours to days on surfaces made from a variety of materials, which includes clothing.

The disease is more likely to exist on a hard surface than a soft surface like fabric. Smoother surfaces type cloth, like patent leather, may be safer to wear. The World Health Organization says that the lifetime of the disease is between a few hours and a few days. So wash our dress materials including innerwears and undergarments daily using detergent in hot water and washing surfaces with alcohol-based products.

How to wash clothes during coronavirus?

There is news that we can kill the Corona Virus at a certain temperature. In cold areas, it is easier to spread viruses. So if possible wash your clothes on hot water. Also, do wiping down your washer and dryer with a disinfectant. If you can, self wash the dresses at your home or apartments. Because there is a chance to get viruses from others hands or from laundromats.

How to wash and use clothes during the Summer season?

Use and wear neat and cleaned innerwears and underwears daily. In this summer season, there is also a chance to cause fungal skin infections due to moisturizing clothes especially undergarments and innerwears. Wetness is the home of fungus. So wash innerwears separately and dry on proper sunlight to expel parasitic organisms, note that do not dry using the iron box. Because sunlight is the best method to kill parasitic fungi.  Prefer airy materials to innerwears and don’t use polyester type materials. Use dry and cleaned innerwears and undergarments for healthy skin.

Our request is to use dry and cleaned dress not only in the COVID-19 and summer season but also in every day and wash our dress materials, undergarments daily in freshwater. Keep personal hygiene and maintain hygiene in our surroundings. Avoid unnecessary traveling and keep social distance to escape from Coronavirus.
